With Disney officially kicking off the 2026 Halloween season, it’s time to prepare for the best party of the year: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP).

Record Start: For the first time, the party begins on August 7, more than a week earlier than the 2025 start of August 15.
Total Nights: Despite starting earlier, there are still 38 party nights total, the same as the previous two years.

The party runs from 7:00 PM to midnight on 38 select nights.
August: 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
September: 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29
October: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31 (Halloween Night)

New! "A Masquerade with Stitch": A dance party at Rockettower Plaza Stage where Stitch tries on different costumes from Lilo’s trunk, changing the party's theme throughout the night.
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular: A fireworks and projection show hosted by a life-sized Jack Skellington puppet.
Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade: Featuring the Headless Horseman, waltzing ghosts, and Disney Villains. The first parade typically steps off at 8:15 PM.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular: The Sanderson Sisters return to the Castle Forecourt Stage for a musical show with various Disney Villains.
Rare Characters: Meet Jack Skellington and Sally, Winnie the Pooh in his bee costume, and more Disney friends in their Halloween attire.
The RN’s Survival Guide to MNSSHP
From a health and sanity perspective, here is how I handle the night with two little ones:
The "Nap-Stance": The party officially starts at 7:00 PM and goes until midnight. Do not go to the parks in the morning! Use the morning for the pool and a long afternoon nap. You’ll need those energy reserves for the 11:00 PM parade.
Hydration is Key: August and September in Florida are still sweltering. Even though it’s "fall" in Disney, keep the water flowing. I always pack electrolyte packets in my bag to prevent the "Disney Meltdown."
Costume Safety: Make sure costumes are breathable and comfortable. Check for itchy seams and ensure shoes are broken in. We love a family theme, but comfort is the priority for a 5-hour event.
Early Entry: Your party ticket allows you into the Magic Kingdom starting at 4:00 PM. Use this time to grab an early dinner so you aren't wasting precious party minutes sitting in a restaurant.
Is it Worth It?
Absolutely. Between the trick-or-treating trails (yes, the candy is included!) and the lower wait times for rides like Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion, it’s a core memory waiting to happen.
